Bristol Balloons

We made a spur of the moment decision to go to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2009.  A hot sunny day and the best part of 90 balloons taking off in the evening.  Here are some of the photographs.  Photograph 5 was nicknamed "Bristols over Bristol" for obvious reasons...

The Royal Air Force's aerobatic team, the Red Arrows were also performing before the balloons.  For the first time in years, we got to see a full high level performance in good weather!  It was totally spectacular, in a manner in which these photos do not even begin to demonstrate.
