We had both lived in Dublin for a year, and have been back there a number of times since, so it is always interesting to go back and to see the changes that have taken place.  The biggest change since our time there is definitely the much greater crowds and the increased traffic!

It was a very soft morning when we arrived (translation - it was absolutely chucking it down with rain).  We shared a taxi from the docks to O'Connell Street, and then wandered around a bit, down the new (to us) boardwalk along the River Liffey in the general direction of the Guinness Brewery ("where the magic begins").  This is an exhibition about how Guinness is made, the history of the company and the product (including the famous advertising) and a (very crowded) bar with a great view of the Dublin skyline.

After this, we caught a cab back to St Stevens Green, and walked around for a bit before heading back to the ship.
