Our final land day was the German port of Warnemünde. We had made our own plans here, and caught the local trains to Schwerin, around 90 minutes away. Schwerin is a (restored) old town, with a chocolate-box style German castle on an island in a lake. We wandered around the town and castle, and then caught the train back to the port. As we were in Germany, the ship had decided to theme the evening, so the rest of the evening passed in a pleasant fug of sausages, beer and omp-pah bands ... |
