Genoa

Genoa is an elegant port city in the North West of Italy.  We had cruised from there in the past, but never spent any time in the city.  The ship docks a 15 minute walk from the old town, which is (again) easily explored on foot.  The main local attractions are the aquarium, the cathedral and the Doges Palace, but is is also fun to take one of the funiculars up to a viewpoint and walking spot over the top of the city.
