Kotor

Kotor is an old Mediterranean port in Montenegro, sometimes referred to as the most Southern fjord in Europe.  The ships tenders take you within walking distance of the heart of the attractive old town.  The climb up to the castle of San Giovanni is very hard work in the hot sun (over 1300 stairs), but does provide great views over the town and bay.
