Acrobatics

In the evening, we took a cruise ship tour to watch the acrobatics show.  Whilst the show was, on the whole, very impressive, it did have the feel of a staged show for Western tourists.  The finale in particular, which comprised 4 simultaneous motorcycle riders in a spherical wall of death, was highly impressive, although hardly traditional Chinese entertainment!  Equally, the later "folkloric" show on board showed many of the same acts (in some cases, to a higher standard), although obviously on a smaller scale due to lack of stage space.
